Ban Electronic Securities Trading

Created by C.P. on November 15, 2012

Electronic securities trading is detrimental to the economy. It disincentivizes long-term commitment to an investment, which is crucial to the success of any company. The speed at which trading occurs enables the stock market to be used as a casino, with some investors becoming de-facto gamblers whose sole motivation is quick profit and manipulation of the market. This hurts all companies. Our nation's economy benefits when investors have an interest in the success of their company. Let's ban electronic trading and make investing mean something more than buying a lottery ticket.
