Ban employers from requesting or asking for your salary history during the hiring process & stop income discrimination.

Created by J.J. on February 03, 2014

Your salary history is as private as your credit report, so why should that change when you are most in need of keeping it private.
Your salary history has nothing to do with the jobs you apply for but an employer will judge you on it and not your experience, qualifications, personality & the value you can bring to the company.
Job applications will not permit you to complete them until you have revealed your salary history or an employer makes the request during your interview. If you enter “1” on the application because you can't proceed without a number or choose to deflect the question we are lying, not following directions or are being uncooperative.
Employers use your salary history to determine your value, screen out those paid too much or too little or to find the lowest paid.
