Ban food stamp benefit recipients from purchasing non-staple items

Created by S.M. on November 13, 2012

Food stamp benefits were intended to help struggling Americans suppliment income to purchase healthy, nutritional foods. We, the taxpayers who support this program, are asking to ban all purchases for candy, soda pop, chips and all sugary and fatty foods and drinks that continue to contribute to the obesity epidemic, at taxpayers expense. In addition, expensive cuts of meats, lobster tails and otherwise high dollar selections should be limited. Emphasis should be made on healthy, nutritional choices and regular household staples.
