We the people of the United States feel that it is wrongful to contain forced marriages nationwide. Due to the effects of forced marriages, young girls and women, especially those in an Islamic household are not eligible of possessing rights and freedom they deserve. It is undeniably a vast issue that goes on around the globe until this day.
Forced Marriages has been practiced worldwide especially in the middle east where girls are forced by parents, and other family members to get married in their teenage years, or severe consequences including life threatening actions that will happen to that individual.
This practice should not be pursued.
We strongly feel that it will be beneficial to provide aid and support to those individuals who are getting forced to marriages without consent.
