Fracking is a dangerous method for drilling high-pressure water (mixed with chemicals) into the drilling area to get to natural gas. It's a cheap way for countries to get natural gas. But...
400 tanker trucks carry 1-8 MILLION gallons of water to the drilling site.
40,000 gallons of harmful chemicals are used.
Fracking wastes gas (trucks), our valuable freshwater, and releases harmful chemicals. Most of the water and the chemicals are left at the site, and there have been over 1000 cases of health problems because of the chemicals.
After all this, what we get is natural gas, which is harmful to the environment. Is this really worth it?
