This Petition is to Federally Ban Gay Marriage, while preserving the rights, dignity, and respect of the those individuals involved.
The Separation of Church and State provided a boundary for Religion in anything associated with Government activities.
Marriage has always been a long standing tradition in various Religions. And has always been between a Man and a Woman, not same sex individuals.
Since various Religions cannot show "support" within Government activities, why should the Government further regulate our Customs and Traditions?
By banning Gay Marriage in a federal standpoint for all 50 States and all US Territories, while allowing Domestic Partnership to have all the same benefits associated with a traditional marriage, all parties are happy.
