Ban Glass Beer Bottles

Created by D.R. on March 16, 2012

Heavy, Fragile, Sharp and Dangerous when broken, hard to recycle, yet thrown around everywhere by careless drunks and alcoholics.

Glass Beer Bottles are a menace. Walk down almost any road that isn't cleaned regularly and you'll see glass shards and bottles. Nobody will pick them up, they aren't worth recycling. Nobody wants them for anything once the beer is gone.

Cans work better for holding beer. Cans are worth money to recycle in many places. They cost less to make, are harder to break, easier to stack, weigh less, do not shatter when dropped into harmful fragments, and are 100% recyclable. Advertisers can even put more advertising on them if they so choose with less effort.

Even plastic would be better than glass.

Please, ban glass for use as beer bottles, let Everybody win.
