Ban Goat Tying

Every Summer, millions gather around local rodeo events to watch humane entertainment, such as: Barrel racing and pole bending. Though, accompanying these events are a few outstandingly cruel ones. These cruel events include goat tying. It is among the most cruel, legalized rodeo event to take place in the U.S. It involves a relatively young goat (usually under 1-2 years of age) being released into a corral. In the corral, a horse and rider await to chase, tackle, and tie the goat. The goat runs as the horse and rider chase them, once at a close enough distance, the rider tosses a rope around the goat's neck. This pulls the goat backwards, in most cases dragging it across the ground, usually breaking ribs and fracturing hip bones. The goat, still alive, then has it's legs tied together.
