Ban Grover Norquist from all contact with Washington legistlators.

Created by J.N. on November 28, 2012

Grover Norquist is a lobbyist. His Americans for Tax Reform organization is responsible for coercing legislators into signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, which opposes any increase in marginal income tax rates. Sounds great, right? Except that:
A) It's unrealistic.
B) It prevents legislators from objectively pursuing any sort of reasonable tax reform for fear of reprisal from Norquist and his group, and
C) Lobbyists should have enough latitude to suggest policy, but not so much that they affect policy (a big problem with the American Legislative branch).
In short, lobbyist's role in US government should be greatly reduced, and Norquist himself, based on his tactics, not to mention his involvement with Jack Abramoff, should have zero contact with anybody in Washington.
