Scientists are currently growing miniature human brains for the purpose of testing drugs. The brains are grown from human stem cells. They are active and respond to drugs the same way a natural human brain would. As human cloning is illegal, so should be the creation of active human brains in laboratories. This practice has ethical concerns that warrant the involvement of the US Government as these companies are growing what are essentially humans without bodies and experimenting on them for profit.
