And while banning guns in advertising won't cure our nation's gun violence, just like banning cigarette ads didn't cure lung cancer, reducing the glorification of guns and gun violence anywhere and everywhere in popular culture can only be a good thing. It certainly can't hurt and might very well reduce the sale of guns.
