Ban harmful natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale which could contaminate over 9 million citizens water.

Created by S.W. on September 04, 2012

The process if natural gas drilling or hydro fracturing involves injections of water, sand, and chemicals into the ground to release natural gas. The Hydraulic Fracturing Report of 2011 said that the oil and gas service companies use more than 2,500 hydraulic fracturing products containing 750 chemicals and other components. Some of these chemicals include carcinogens such as diesel, formaldehyde, sulfuric acid, thiourea, benzyl chloride, nitrilotriacetic acid, benzene, Di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalatem, and more. Let President Obama know that we need clean and safe drinking water for all of America. Drilling for natural gas in NY is too risky. Let's move FORWARD with safe drinking water and repeal the exclusion of the underground injection of of fluids or propping agents. Thank you.
