Ban harmful plastics for use with food or beverages

Created by R.F. on May 10, 2014

Some harmful plastics release synthetic estrogen and other chemicals into their contents. Often this is activated by heat such as microwaving, the dishwasher, and general use. These and other chemicals bypass the body's natural defense system and alter the body's cells. These altered genes are then passed onto future generations. Mice exposed to just 25% of the levels of these chemicals the EPA considers safe have experienced countless maladies to original and later generations. Plastics companies have gone to great lengths to hide the evidence, similar to the techniques used by the big tobacco companies of the previous century. The United States government needs to take a stand and eliminate harmful materials in the use of food and beverage container industry.
