Ban High Capacity Assault Pressure Cookers

Created by J.B. on April 22, 2013

High capacity pressure cookers (assault pressure cookers) were instrumental to performing the Boston attacks. We propose universal background checks and registration for all individuals purchasing canning equipment.
One could can just as well with 5 cans at a time instead of 15, so we recommend a federal law banning the manufacture and sale of all pressure cookers capable of holding more than 5 cans at a time.
We recommend universal registration for all individuals currently possessing a pressure cooker and banning the possession of pressure cookers by individuals other than the registered owner. Finally, we recommend that pressure cookers and crock pots capable of holding explosives be banned for 500 feet from schools, places of worship, hospitals, banks, and all federal facilities.
