We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Ban Hikvision cameras, which are sponsored by the Chinese Defense Department, from Federal surveillance installations.

Created by R.S. on September 13, 2016

This is an issue of national security of the highest order. In fact this may be a result of treasonous oversight. As noted by esteemed surveillance publications and online resources such as IPVM, Hikvision was founded as Research Institute No. 52. Now, as a state sponsored business, it continues to receive funding from the Chinese government to the tune of $6 billion and is led by a Chinese Minister of Defense!

They've been hacked before while protecting Chinese assets, but we are REQUIRING Hikvision cameras in a US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan! Are we TRYING to give away sensitive state secrets to the Chinese?

We demand answers and a policy change to prevent this breach of security and violation of the Buy American Act! Even if we are to buy Chinese cameras, Hikvision should be banned.
