We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Ban Homework in High School

Created by T.O. on August 10, 2016

High Schoolers are stressed enough with Honors and AP classes, jobs, college applications, community service and extracurricular activities. When 5 hours of homework is added on top every night, students begin to lose sleep which in turn creates less focus during the following school day and the stress grows exponentially. Students already spend approximately seven hours at school each day so why should it be necessary to force them to continue to work during their limited free time they have at home. High schoolers should be allowed to enjoy their teenage years and not be restricted by work that they have to get done or face the consequence of bad grades and/or detention. This is why I call on congress to act on the issue of homework.
