Ban horse slaughter all together in the US for food consumption.

The slaughter of horses is not only unnecessary and inhumane but it is also harmful in many ways. The slaughter of horses is brutal and terrifying end for horses and it is not humane. Horses are shipped more than 24 hours at a time with out food, water, and are kept in crowded trucks. They are often seriously injured or killed in transit.
Drugs that are administered to horses are a serious health threat to the humans that consume them.
It has been scientifically proven that horses help
humans, physical, mentally, and emotionally. Horses are also companions for people all over the world just like dogs, cats, birds etc… and its no better to have horse slaughter than to have like a dog slaughter.
If a horse needs to be put down then it needs to be in a more humane way.
