Ban Hunting as a sport in the United States

We the people of the United States feel that hunting is a cruel, violent recreation no longer necessary in today's modern society. Over 100 million animals are killed each year by hunters, who hunt as a hobby. Hunting has been proclaimed by hunters to be a method of population control, which has proved ineffective for over 100 years. It is cruel and inhumane, and is a primitive practice no longer needed. We the people would like to ban hunting as a sport and hobby, as it is no longer a necessity.
