Ban Infant Circumcision and protect males under United States Code (18 USC 116).

Created by J.T. on December 06, 2015

Under the United States Code (18 USC 116) the practice of female genital mutilation or female circumcision is banned for females under age 18. Why does male circumcision continue to happen every day when there are little benefits and many downsides? Shouldn't all babies be protected under this code? A baby can not consent to circumcision. There needs to be something put in place that will protect them until they can make that choice for themselves, anything else is having it forced on them against their will. Circumcision can also be considered forcing someone into religion when they are unable to chose for themselves. We don't cut out the appendix, even though it reduces the chance of appendicitis by 100%, so why should we do the same with foreskin? Time to stop following the trend.
