ban by law taxpayer support or aid to the National Rifle Association and prohibit congress accepting NRA contributions.

Created by R.S. on December 17, 2012

The National Rifle Association no longer merits power and influence in Congress due to its pursuit of firearm deregulation and the interests of gun manufacturers. Congress needs to pass legislation prohibiting taxpayer funded support or aid to this Association and to enact a ban on receiving any funding from the Association.

In light of high profile cases of firearms being misused, including assault weapons, the NRA must be prevented from wielding strong political opposition against firearm regulation and policies designed to increase the safety of all Americans.
