Ban Lawyers from hand-picking their own juries. Simplify jury selection.

Created by B.D. on September 28, 2011

Juries should be made up of regular people from all walks of life. Lawyers should not be able to choose who may sit on a jury.

Select juries randomly! The process would be fast and simple, millions of Americans would not need to spend hours or days in jury selection rooms, billions of dollars would be saved, and courts could afford to PAY JURORS A REASONABLE AMOUNT for their time and service.

Juries should represent real people, not just those that lawyers can manipulate. If jurors were paid a reasonable amount and people didn't have to go through a long and inconvenient jury selection process, more people would be willing to serve. Juries would be more representative of the population at large, intelligent people would be allowed to serve, and America would save millions of dollars!!
