Ban Lead in all consumer products! (i.e. power cords and water hoses)

Created by B.Q. on June 01, 2014

Lead should be banned in consumer products where it is commonplace for users to touch the component that contains the lead.

For example, Lead is currently found in Garden hoses (with warnings to not drink!) and Power Cables/Extension cords (with warnings to wash hands after touching them!).

I just bought a laptop and it came with a warning to wash your hands after touching the power cord because Lead is known in California to be hazardous. It's not just known in California! Lead *is* known to be dangerous.

Lead has already been banned in similar products in the EU. It's time to protect ourselves and children from this toxin.

There is no safe amount of lead.
