Pretty simple idea: return the government to one "by the people, for the people".
Lobbyists take away from us as citizens, and buy politicians to fulfill corporate interests under the guise of "what's best for the people."
Too many in Congress (or politics in general) have no idea what it means to be middle class -- a look at their bank balances will show that. They are out of touch with reality, or what normal means. Let politicians eat their own dog food, live off minimum wage while serving, and actually live like the norm of the people they represent -- without corporate interests lining their pockets.
Also, no corporate head should be allowed to serve as the head of an agency that once regulated them. Conflict of interest -- I think so (FCC, FDA....)
