Mountaintop removal mining destroys beautiful mountains that will never grow back, leaving in their place barren wastelands. It also causes grievous harm to Appalachian communities, putting them in danger from landslides and toxic chemicals. All this is for coal that can be mined in a much less destructive way, so this horrifying practice is completely unnecessary.
Majestic mountains are not ours to destroy. Make sure our children and grandchildren inherit the same natural wonders we did. Do everything in your power to prevent one more mountain from being destroyed, and promote a law that will ban mountaintop removal forever.
