The art of film has been vital to the American people since it's invention. Film can deliver powerful messages to people. The MPAA has forced it's ratings into theaters and to stores since it has developed the rating system. This prevents minors from experiencing all of the messages and artistic value of film. Especially films rated NC-17. For Example: BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR has been rated NC-17. This has restricted minors from seeing it in theaters, even though it should be viewed by teenagers that are considering coming out to their loved ones, as that is the film's plot. The MPAA has been censoring art for FAR too long. The rating system should only be used to caution parents, not to CENSOR ART.
