The National Rifle Association is an organisation that professes to protect the Second Amendment.
What it really does is wilfully misunderstand the purpose of the Second Amendment, "the right to bear arms", conceived at the time of writing: to give the people the freedom to form local militias to overthrow overbearing government. It was in no shape or form meant as justification for arming citizens against each other.
The NRA constantly blocks debate and movement towards regulating firearms and reducing gun ownership, a position that is impeding the United States in protecting its own people, keeping it five steps behind the rest of the world in securing the right to safety for its citizens.
We therefore propose the NRA be banned or blacklisted for acting against the national interest.
