Millions of bees are dying in the U.S. because of the application of neonicotinoid pesticides and herbicides. Studies have shown that these pesticides are linked to Colony Collapse Disorder. If bees die out, many of the species of fruits and vegetables that we eat will not be able to be pollinated by bees, and we will no longer be able to eat them. The EPA even conducted a study that shows that there are negligible benefits to applying neonicotinoids to soybean plants, which is basically saying there's no need for neonicotinoids. Based on this fact, and that they are linked to Colony Collapse Disorder, neonicotinoid pesticides should be banned throughout the U.S.
