Ban Neonicotinoid Pesticides which are devastating Bee populations

Created by M.S. on April 26, 2013

Neonicotinoid pesticides are killing our bee populations and are a major contributor to Colony Collapse Syndrome.

Currently this pesticide is being sprayed on corn, soy, and other crops. If bees come across the pesticide it results in the destruction of the hive. These pesticides if allowed to continue to be used are going to further devastate the American Agricultural Sector as well as home growers. Bees are required for all fruit and vegetable production and have been suffering significant losses. Research is showing that while there are many factors in Bee health decline like viruses and pathogens, neonicotinoids seem to be a major cause. Much like DDT which worked well for its intended use, these chemicals also have side effects which should be banned, before bees disappear forever!
