2. The energy paradigm needs to shift towards non-polluting renewable sources .
3. Fossil fuels have a negative impact on climate change.
4. Oil platform construction and engineering jobs are itinerent and specialized and would be minimal for Atlantic States.
5. The Navy strongly opposes derrick interference in maneuvers.
6. The impact of damage in the form of mammal strandings and ear bleeding is inconsistant with ocean stewardship.
7. The impact on fisheries and tourism to coastal economies would be catastrophic when spills occur and fines are so low they are a business expense.
