In the past few days, many citizens from the states of Texas, Louisiana, and 2 dozen others filed petitions to have them secede from the Union after a hectic election season. While our country isn't at its best financially and economically, what they are doing is not only childish and embarrassing, but also worries millions of Americans. Whether "peaceful" or not, seceding from the Union will not happen without a civil war, and we don't want history to repeat itself. Besides, many things will go horribly wrong during a secession. While the said citizens point out the pros, there are many cons that they know very little of, like having to have a passport in order to travel out of state.
