Ban the ownership of exotic and/or endangered animals for private ownership in the United States.

What has tragically happened on Wednesday, Oct 19th in Zanesville, OH, USA could have undoubtedly been avoided.
Terry Thompson, before killing himself, released the following exotic animals who were later shot and killed: 18 endangered Bengal tigers, 17 lions, six black bears, a pair of grizzlies, three mountain lions, two wolves and a baboon. This is only one isolated incident that did not have to happen. There are still a handful of US states that have very weak regulations for the private ownership of exotic animals. Ohio may be the worst. From 2003-2011, there have been 22 incidents involving attacks of exotic wild animals. This petition is a call for tougher laws forbidding people in the USA from keeping large dangerous animals that belong in the wild as "pets". Please support me.
