ban pharmaceutical companies from advertising drugs to the general public that require a prescription

Created by I.T. on December 11, 2013

Pharmaceutical drugs are advertised on television, in magazines, and in other forms. These advertisements are not in the best interest of the public. Decisions about medication should be left in the hands of doctors. These advertisements persuade consumers to pursue medication that they may or may not need, and can be needlessly harmed by the side effects that these medications can have. Pharmaceutical drugs should not be advertised like a normal consumer product.

Let’s get these advertisements stopped! Help reach out to Washington by signing this petition, and call on them to pass legislation to ban pharmaceutical companies from advertising drugs that require a prescription.
