This petition is to ban pharmaceutical companies from advertising prescription drugs on TV. These advertisements do not fully disclose all relevant information to consumers about the health condition or the drugs themselves. The conditions of which these drugs treat are sometimes inappropriate topics for children. The marketing of these prescription drugs is not for the benefit of the consumer, but for the monetary benefit of the pharmaceutical companies.
