Hi, I am Madeline C. Bailey. I live in San Francisco CA. I go to Katherine Delmar Burke School and I am 10 years old.
I had this idea that we should ban plastic shopping bags from the whole United States, and I thought you could help me achieve that goal.
Why? I want to do this because plastic bags have been polluting the ocean for a long time and I don’t like it. A plastic bag ban has been very successful here in San Francisco and I have not seen any plastic bags in the bay. Also, in Florida plastic bags get into the ocean and sea turtles eat them and die. I hope you like my idea.
