Ban police and federal agencies from being equipped with and using "Assault Weapons" as defined by Dianne Feinstein.

Citizens, politicians and the media ask over and over again, "Why do civilians need military style 'Assault Weapons' and High Capacity Magazines?" We ask, why are the police and federal agencies equipped with actual military grade weapons and high capacity magazines? Those officers/agents have those weapons to defend themselves, not citizens, against threats both real and perceived. How often do police actually prevent crime versus showing up afterward to clean up the mess? By issuing their agencies "Assault Weapons" for use within the United States our government admits that threats exist that demonstrate the need for these weapons. If weapons are banned, then ban them for everyone especially federal agencies operating within U.S. borders. We'll give up ours when you give up yours.
