The current Obama administration should ban pre-employment credit checks and personal background checks. Employment screening should only be allowed to include criminal background and drug screening.
Basing employment off of credit worthiness, social and personal interests, and previous job history only hurt those that desire to turn their life around. By baring businesses from using such practices you will be helping thousands of out of work people find jobs. This will prevent companies from discriminating against people based on political/religious views, multiple job in a short time, what people post on social networking sites, and financial troubles due to harsh economic times.
