Stop companies like Purdue Pharma from manufacturing dangerous prescription drugs to consumers that are not terminally ill. This was taken from Purdue Pharma's website, information about OxyContin: "Respiratory depression, including fatal cases, may occur with use of OxyContin, even when the drug has been used as recommended and not misused or abused [see Warnings and Precautions (5.2)]." This type of medication could be lethal from just one dose. It needs to be banned from being sold/ prescribed in the US except to the terminally ill and cancer patients. A rehab program should be offered to those who need to be weaned off of this dangerous drug and offered non-addictive pain relief therapy, and education about what this drug does.
