Obesity and malnutrition are rampant in America, and the food industry is only making the situation worse. The government has implemented a series of regulations in an attempt to make processed foods "healthier" but this has only resulted in large food corporations in creating "low-fat" and "sugar-free" products. These processed foods are filled with chemicals and artificial ingredients that our bodies are not able to digest properly, and they are taking a toll on American health. The problem is no longer the nutrition labels, but the ingredients that go into these manufactured products. For this reason, processed "junk foods" must be removed from the market, and a diet based on whole foods needs to be encouraged.
