The word "retard(ed)" is often used as a way to discriminate against people that have disabilities. It is exclusive, offensive, and derogatory. I did a bit of research and could not find any proof of this word being banned on television and/or radio programs. The continuous use of this word is further isolating people who have disabilities.
I ask that the word "retard(ed)" when used as a derogatory be banned from radio and television.
