As an American we are raised to believe that this country is fair, and that everyone no matter the skin color and sex, that we are all equal. But the very song that we so proudly sing actually states otherwise. This song needs to be changed. If we are about the "people"; and for the "people" then this should be changed to represent the various ethnic groups that resides here in America. No song that was constructed by a racist white man should be the National Anthem. Not then and most definitely not now. We can't come together if our own song we take pride in degrades another race. I believe it isn't right and you should too. So help me and sign this petition to help put an end to the racist national anthem that is supposed to represent our country.
