Ban radio and television broadcasts from naming the perpetrator in mass shootings for a predetermined amount of time.

Created by T.H. on October 02, 2015

Out of respect for the victims and their families, the FCC shall enforce a ban on radio and television reports from mentioning the name of perpetrators in certain mass shootings or other related crimes. Once a crime is identified as an attention seeking event, the mentioning of the perpetrator's name will be banned until further notice.
We should not give these criminals the notoriety and the attention that they crave. Rather than reward them with instant fame, we can show solidarity with those they hurt. If just ONE person reconsidered their plan for a massacre because they realized their name would not be known, it would be worth our effort.
