In America, we have set a precedence of the desire to ban things that offend people. We have seen this recently with General Robert E. Lee's battle flag and the Washington Redskins logo. In keeping with this, I am petition for the ban of a flag that is just as offensive, if not more. The rainbow flag.
The rainbow symbol to us Christians is a sign of God's covenant with man that he would not destroy the Earth by water ever again. This symbol has been taken and used to represent sin. This is offensive to us because we believe that a symbol used as a covenant sign by our Creator should not be used to represent sin. We ask that the rainbow flag that is used by homosexuals be banned and taken down wherever it is being used.
