ban the sale of ammo for assult rifles, ban internet sales of ammo, and limit all others sales to secured locations.

Created by D.S. on December 18, 2012

The Constitution of the United States provides us the right to bear arms, however, it does not say anything about having the right to bullets. It is easier to get thousands of rounds of ammunition in the U.S. than it is to get fireworks and other "explosive" devices. I propose banning the sale of any caliber of ammunition that is designed for assault rifles or machine guns. I also propose banning the sale of ammunition to anyone over the internet or through mail order. Also, all ammunition sales should require the same background check and waiting period as hand guns, and all sales should be limited to secure and government regulated locations. Gun violence can be reduced when we reduce the sale of ammunition.
