Ban the sale and production of genetically modified seeds, foods and remove the ability to patent these items

Genetically modified seeds are patented, and companies like Monsanto destroy farmers by taking over farmland their seeds have spread too. The U.S government should ban the sale and production of genetically modified foods, seeds and animals, as well as disallow patents to be approved for such goods.
