Ban the sale of assault weapons and make sure a thorough background check on the person buying the firearm.

In order to become a country with reduced deaths by gun violence, we must ban the sale of assault weapons in all 50 states. Any individual attempting to buy firearms must have a background check to make sure they can be trusted with such firearm, in order to become and remain a prosperous nation, we first must consider that any weapon that is meant for shooting and killing massive amounts of people is not a weapon of defensive measures, rather, a weapon for attack. We the people of the United States of America must realize that to reduce deaths from gun violence, we first must reduce high-power assault rifles, and background check those who buy other types of firearms.
