Ban the Sale of Hydrogenated Oils Used for Human Consumption

Created by J.E. on February 12, 2013

Hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils are used as a substitute for natural, healthy oils by food industries in order to increase the shelf life of their products. The problem is that hydrogenated oils get stuck inside our arteries, making them smaller, thus increasing the risk of heart disease and obesity. The body can't process hydrogenated oils; they are literally killing us. Even though food industries are making huge profits from using hydrogenated oils, it's still contributing to an unhealthy America.
