Ban the sale of M-rated games to minors under the age of 17 without parental consent.

With recent tragedies such as the Sandy Hook shootings and the Colorado massacre, it's easy to point the blame. The target this time around is video games. But the simple matter of fact is that video games, just like books, television, and movies, are forms of freedom of speech, a right that is protected in our Constitution. The problem is not the video games themselves, it is that children are buying them and playing them. There are plenty of responsible adults who look to these games as a source of entertainment, and outright banning them is unfair to them as consumers. A simple law that would prevent these sales and force stores like Wal-Mart and Best Buy to demand ID for the purchase of these games would help solve this problem, and allow everyone to enjoy their games fairly.
