President Barack Obama:
This petition is to respectfully request that you ban the sale of police or military anti-riot equipment and supplies to the government of Venezuela as they are being used to violently repress the Venezuelan People as they try to peacefully protest the establishing of a dictatorial regime in their country with the assistance of thousands of Cuban military personnel and armed paramilitary groups backed by the government.
Please know that in the very heart of the Venezuelan community in South Florida there are businesses selling such equipment to the Venezuelan government.
Spain has already banned such sale. The United States should also take this step and encourage other countries to do the same. Thank you!
