We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Ban School Zones

Created by R.D. on October 27, 2016

School zones are outdated ways to keep kids safe before and after school. Most schools have a carpool areas closer to school buildings where kids are picked up and dropped off, so there is hardly any reason for a large swatch of road to be marked off for a 20 mile an hour speed limit. In addition, very few kids still walk to and from school by themselves . Even when they do, wide sidewalks and designated crosswalks better aid students getting home. All school zones do is slow down cars during busy hours. When traffic is slowed down, cars wait in stop and go lines wasting gas and money. School zones are unwarranted and inefficient regulation of road transport. This issue must be addressed to protect the interests of all drivers and student as well so that both can travel easily and safely.
