Plastic water bottles are very harmful to the environment, and are depleting the sources for water rapidly. California's major drought is just one example of the harm water bottles can cause. Banning the selling and production of plastic water bottles would cause less plastic dumped in a landfill, less water wasted, and more water put to good use.
